Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce pictures of different body systems. Ultrasound is used to study the abdomen, pelvis and the blood flow in the legs and carotid arteries. Ultrasound is also used in pregnancy.
Lake Health has advanced ultrasound technology with innovative machines that integrate ultrasound imaging with computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologies. Using GPS technology, we can display and compare the CT or MRI image side-by-side with the ultrasound image in real time. This allows us to be more precise in evaluating kidneys and livers.
A physician order is required.
